As entertaining as Ann Coulter has proved to be over the last few days, it's time to move on to more important subjects.  Like ... The Octomom blaming her kid with autism for her house being trashed.  Since he was the only one mentioned, I can only assume that this child has more destructive energy than the other 13 kids in her collection ...  combined.  Damn, woman, you have a small army to help you keep house.  Spend a little less time doing soft-core porn and a little more organizing your little platoon.

Nadya Suleman is making headlines for the umpteenth time in the past few weeks, this time for a video in which she blames her young autistic son for trashing their family's La Habra home last year. This sounds pretty awful on its face, and Nadya Suleman typically comes across as anything but a stable individual, but hold on. Might there be something to her claims that her seven-year-old son, quite possibly more destructive than most children his age due to his disorder, wreaked some major havoc?

If that is indeed the case (and of course, no one but Octomom knows for sure what goes on in her household), we are glad she has taken what sounds like the appropriate measures to remedy or at least help the situation, give her son boundaries and keep her new house in good repair. The title of this post, “Want to commit suicide because of my son’s autism” is a keyword search that led someone to my blog this morning.  My heart dropped when I saw this.  The person did not leave a comment, I wish she had.  (I don’t know if it was a he or she, but I’m going to use she to make writing this easier).  The thought that someone is thinking about doing this is scary.  I pray that the commit suicide search on the internet is her way of reaching out for some kind of help.  I know how isolating having a child with autism can be.  For some, reaching out online is the only thing they can do.  This post is a message to that person.

How I really feel: I look fine. I smile. I am happy. Truly, I am. But, I am never quite used to the fact that my kid has Autism. This is something that never goes away. It hits me in different ways every day and still hurts to realize...he is different...he might not ever get married, or have a group of real friends, he might get bullied. VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) -- Jurors took just four hours Tuesday to acquit a couple who had been charged with unlawful imprisonment for keeping two young autistic boys in a dark room with a cage-like door.
The Clark County Superior Court jury had been asked to decide whether John Eckhart, 31, and Alayna Higdon, 27, confined Eckhart's sons for convenience or to keep them safe.

Shortly after his first birthday, Shawn Stockman says his son Micah suddenly began to change. The R&B singer who earned accolades and world-renown as one fourth of the group Boyz II Men says he never expected that his son would develop a condition that would change both of their lives -- autism. 

"It was drastic because Micah was the first one to talk, he was the first one to walk. Everything seemed to be very, very normal," Stockman told CNN, describing how he learned he had a twin son with autism. "I did not know what to do, and one thing a man hates when it comes down to his family is not knowing what to do," Stockman said.
